This short film, Bearing Witness: Hate, Harassment and Online Public Scholarship, introduces the issue of research harassment and documents the research-creation process.



Leticia is a Brazilian Documentary Filmmaker based in Toronto. She has directed a feature length documentary portraying a punk and feminist movement in Brazil, Faça Você Mesma, a documentary television series on permaculture and people in different Brazilian cities Juntos. She has also directed short documentary films, the latter following 5 women bikers going around the island of Florianopolis. In her work Leticia attempts to foster women’s protagonism on screen. She is interested in exploring personal stories, on themes such as belonging, identity, self-resilience, community, music and surfing. Along with making documentaries she also worked as a Film/Video Editor for more than 10 years. Leticia holds a bachelor’s degree in film and is currently doing an MFA in Film Production at York University.
